Welcome
Nestled among beautiful gardens in Waverley, Stirling Legacy House is a community-driven bed and breakfast just minutes from Sandton, Melrose, Rosebank, Norwood and Houghton Estate. For over 20 years, this historic property has been a place of rest, connection and belonging. Lovingly created by David and Joanina Pastoll in 2004, it has welcomed generations of guests who returned year after year for its warm hospitality and peaceful atmosphere. Following Joanina's passing in 2025, Stirling Legacy House was reopened in 2026 with a vision to honour its legacy while creating a vibrant space for travellers, creative professionals, artists and the local community. Today, the house is once again filled with life. We have welcomed returning school groups, international visitors, local businesses and guests from around the world. Our gardens have become a place to gather, celebrate, work, create and unwind. More than a bed and breakfast, Stirling Legacy House is a home where everyone is welcome. We are proud to foster an inclusive community where neighbours, travellers, creatives and the LGBTQIA+ community can all feel safe, valued and at home. We are not simply preserving a beautiful property—we are continuing a legacy.

Rates include a full breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and use of the pool, tennis court and gardens.

An immensely calm & graceful environment, old fashioned but with a slightly arty vibe. Gardens soothing & lovely. Really quite idyllic.
